It's anniversary week at The Gritty Pearl! One year ago and with trembling fingers, I pressed "post" for the very first time. It was a nerve wracking experience, but one I don't regret for a second. Anytime we put ourselves "out there" for any reason, it's accompanied by a whirlwind of emotions. It's truly been a busy, wonderful year.
There have been:
I've had to opportunity to listen to your wants and needs this year. With each word sprawled across your computer screen, I pray to leave you encouraged, motivated, and walking away with some basic tools to use in both your daily lives, and in ministry. Your feedback has been invaluable.
Our top three most requested topics include:
1. Spiritual, Emotional, and Physical Wellness (Body, Self-Acceptance, and biblical Truth)
2. How-To's: Ways to reach out and care for those around us.
3. Relationships: Marriage, Dating, Divorce, Friendship, and Intimacy
I'll be sure to cover each of these areas throughout the year. If you're connected to the Gritty Pearl on Facebook, you'll also receive a "Grit for the Daily Grind" encouragement for your workday, everyday at 12:30pm.
(Note: Because of changes made to the Facebook timeline, be sure to press the "follow" button in the upper, right hand corner of the page or activate the "receive notifications" feature from the drop down menu. This way, the encouraging message will appear in your news feed each day at the same time.)
Just for fun, I'll also be adding some heathy, "so easy Meg can do it" recipes to the mix so you'll have something to try in the kitchen. If you don't actually know how to cook, you're in good company, because I don't either! We'll learn together and hopefully, we won't set our kitchens on fire in the process.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for joining me each week here at the Gritty Pearl. I look forward to all the adventures yet to come!
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Phil. 1:3-6)
