I own exactly four unfinished journals. They sit stoic (and a little bit dusty) on my office bookshelf. The idea of journaling is idyllic to me, but the reality is much less fantastic. I'd begin with a vigor - writing down thoughts and prayers, pulling scripture, and becoming astounded by the sneak peaks of grace that God allows.
And after a while, they'd sit.
The medical community has a catch phrase that's familiar to practitioners. "See one. Do one. Teach one." That being said, I believe their motto applies to each and every one of us.
God's word in our lives isn't meant to grow dusty on a shelf. We can acquire wisdom until we're blue in the face - reading scripture, listening to podcasts, and attending church. But it's still possible to feel a yearning for something more. A connection to be found. Work to be done.
His directions are meant to be applied. They're meant to be shared, turned over in our hands, taken apart and woven into our daily lives.
If you're local to the Carolinas, you'll have three opportunities to do just that! For those of you following along with us online, I'll be blogging about topics related to these workshops. We also plan to have an audio version available, which will be linked here at the Gritty Pearl.
I've linked the most recent information about the workshops that will be offered in July, August, and October below. We'll be discussing spiritual, emotional, and physical health through the lens of faith.
I can't wait to see how God grows us, as we gather together to draw closer to Him. Let's get healthy together and stay that way!
With you and for you,
Do you know somebody who would enjoy this type of event? Sharing is caring!
